Jason Peters just tore his achilles tendon.

That means the Philadelphia Eagles need a left tackle.

We’re hearing the team is interested in bringing in free agent Max Starks, most recently of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Starks is 30 years old, injured and habitually out of shape. But he’s a solid linemen.

The Univesity of Florida graduate would like to return to the Steelers, but with the team apparently moving Marcus Gilbert to left tackle, and with Willie Colon coming back to man the right tackle position, it’s looking less and less likely that Pittsburgh will re-sign him.

If that’s not the case, and they are interested in retaining Starks’ services – they better do it quick.

At least one other team is interested in signing him.
