The Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in David DeCastro.

A guard out of Stanford, DeCastro is one of the highest ranked interior linemen to enter the draft in quite some time.

A player who is so highly thought of will be hard to get a hold of at pick #24, where the Steelers sit.

If Pittsburgh is serious about acquiring DeCastro, they are probably going to have to trade up.

We would be surprised if he gets past Seattle at pick #12.

Is DeCastro worth moving up for? It depends on what the Steelers have to give in return.

If it means sacrificing the teams second round pick, we wouldn’t do it.

Barring the unlikely, it’s tough to imagine a scenario where DeCastro is in black and gold next season.

But it won’t be because the Steelers weren’t interested.
