Yes, we do realize that Ben Roethlisberger just sprained his ankle.
But from what he’s shown at camp thus far, the quarterback doesn’t need much more practice. He’s ready to go.
Perhaps the biggest and most pleasant surprise of all is that Ben actually looks to be in very good shape.
And although it is early, he has shown a masterful understanding of the offensive philosophy new offensive coordinator Todd Haley has been implimenting.
Maybe, at age 30, Ben is finally starting to appreciate more of the finer points of the position.
Regardless of whether it’s in a newly adopted cerebral way, or simply the same school-yard way he has always done it, we look for Roethlisberger to have a big season.
